Ride the Wake, on the road up to Timmins !

1486 times

Summer is usually synonymous with road trips; it's gotta be done one way or another.  There's just something about exploring new terrain, and checking out a different scene.  Back in May I convinced my good buddy Jordan Sien to take a drive up to Timmins to ride, and check it out.  Granted this wasn't very easy considering he didn't really know where it is (8hrs North of Ottawa).  Figured it would be a good idea to take the wake school North for a week, and hang out...

Well it turned out to be a pretty good idea.  The weather held out, and we were on the water everyday with some new people looking to try it out.  We even had the local radio station come out for a few hours, "I'm with three J's in a red rocket" bragged the radio host.  We also took sometime to hit up my family cottage up at Ice Chest Lake only 30mins from town.  The original plan was to post a rail, but that idea was short lived after a few late nights.  Instead we just took Jordan for a little tree jibbing session around the lake.

All in all in was a pretty special week.  We definitely created a little buzz in what can be a pretty quiet town that wouldn't normally see wakeboarding in the middle of town. It was cool to expose people to something new, and to have a really good time doing it.  Life on the road is good.

Thanks to Jordan Sien and Ride the Wake for coming up, and always being down for the cause.
